Big old boy BMXer

by -

This was exactly what I was looking for. A single speed bmx style bike for an old school bmxer. I am mid 40s 6'4" 270+ and don't intend on jumping or seeing much air time. I do like to ride XC singletrack and pumptracks, but am tired of messing with my mountain bikes and hybrids. I can grab this bike and just go. The price for what you get is good. The only upgrade I might make is a 3 piece crank set and posibly sealed bottom bracket, but only if I tweak this one. This bike reminds me a little of my old mid 90s Trek mountain bike only lighter. This thing accelerates well and the 29s make it carry good speed and roll over everything. Like most 29ers the handling is not as quick as the small wheel bikes, but easy to get used to with some practice.

its a very cool and smooth riding bike. And I use it to pop wheelies. I upgraded crank to a 3 piece crank, and put maxxis on it.

Awesome GGGGRRRRowler!!!!

I've been riding 26" Cruisers & 26" BMX bikes since they started, I've had an OM Flyer, Kos Kruiser, Schwinn Klunkers, you name it. The old bikes were cool, But this thing takes all the style of those old bikes and combines it with the performance improvements of the last 35+years. Modern quality control, a perfected geometry and production techniques combined with the 1 1/8" threadless steerer, 3 piece cranks, Disc brakes and modern tires makes this a great combination for just having a gas on. Everything just works and for an unbeatable price! Totally rideable combination out of the box; you may want to tweak the seatpost/seat combo to your riding style/preferences, but it all works great as is.
Only tweak I'd like; would be a front brake or at least a front brake mount so I could add one myself.
I love this bike

PS Pics don't do this bike justice; everyone whose seen my Pink Ltd edition remarks on how cool looking it is! - Mas
